Hedley Constructions in Cairns used Rawmat HDB Type P1 to waterproof the basement of “Visions” a multi-level apartment building situated adjacent to the foreshore.

A concrete blinding layer was placed to act both as protection for the Rawmat HDB membrane and a clean work surface for the steel fixers, prior to the placement of the concrete basement slab.

Rawmat HDB Type P1 was used for waterproofing the basement of the prestigious Hunter Street Deveolpment. Constructed by Abi Group – Centro Newcastle.

What were grass paddocks early in 2005 have now been transformed into an enclosure incorporating separate waterholes with beach areas, sunken barge, filtering reed beds, recreational areas as well as a river crossing for the Zoo’s fleet of buses. The $6.5 million project spans over three hectares, and is home to Kubu River Hippos.

The enclosure’s unique water filtration system involves the distribution of water from the spillway into a pond, where earthen filtration beds filter solids and recycle water back into the pools. Rawmat® Type P1 GCL was installed in these earthen filter beds, to ensure the elimination of water seepage from the pond and provide a naturally aesthetically pleasing water feature.

Rawmat® was also installed in the Kubu walking track. Rawmat® Type P1 features a natural clay base, therefore an indefinite life span, is resistant to chemical attack and is non-toxic.
